Mitchell Kilmer graduated from Appalachian State University in 2017 with a degree in Business Management.  In 2021, he graduated from law school at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.  Mr. Kilmer was a member of the SMU Criminal Clinic and provided criminal defense to indigent defendants.

Prior to joining Cooley, Cooley, & Foxx, Mr. Kilmer was a prosecutor for the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office in Dallas, Texas.  In that role, Mr. Kilmer handled misdemeanor and felony cases and was a member of the Felony Family Violence Division.   

As an associate, Mr. Kilmer assists in civil litigation cases and insurance defense with a particular concentration on personal injury cases and construction disputes.         

While not in the office, Mr. Kilmer enjoys playing golf and hiking with his wife.
